Each bedroom has one A/C unit. There is an A/C unit in upstairs TV room sitting area as well. A historic Cape Cod home, built in circa 1850 in nearby Brewster, MA, the house was later transported by mule team to its present location in East Orleans around 1920. The cellar still has the coal bin and the original beams made from rough-hewn tree trunks, some with the bark still attached. In 1970 the kitchen, master bedroom and garage were added, while preserving the home's unique charm. The back porch is enclosed and offers an outstanding venue for bird watching at the feeders and bird bath. A short path to the salt marsh estuary provides excellent opportunities for bird watching and walks along the shore, and there is a public launch on the marsh grass for kayaks to explore Pochet Inlet. Outdoor shower with hot water is perfect for washing off beach sand after a day at the shore. No Pets accepted.
